ALTRU: A machine to the present..

1. How many of the simple actions you take on daily can be considered an immediate contribution to the decontamination of the planet, that is, how many of them generate a carbon emissions reduction in your Action Zone? (Think about briefly or continue reading).


2. If you already have in mind some of them… How many of these are registered in some way, so that you can certify that you have decreased or offset your personal carbon footprint (referred to the negative effects that cause the rest of your actions everyday)?


3. How many of these actions that reduce your personal carbon footprint also generate an immediate, tangible or intangible benefit, in quality of life or financial, to you as an active collaborator in the effort to achieve a cleaner world?

Now, you will probably want to know what direct and immediate benefits you can get by simple, daily actions that can be registered to show that you are contributing to the reduction of the footprint (your personal carbon footprint) with which you impact your Action Zone daily. Before, let us be in context.

While it is true that many countries, from the government or private company have carried out actions aimed at decontamination, it is the local, empirical and independent entrepreneurships (with national or regional scope) that give a more personal, direct and immediate treatment , to the problem.

As part of the road to a COP 25 in Chile, I am convinced that we have to push the discussions of the implementation of mechanisms that allow us to finally give to the common citizen, the of the street, both, the benefits of the proposals that are geared against of climate change, as well as the accountability for its actions and decisions, to create immediate impacts.

The accelerated change of our technological reality, proportional to the unfortunate climatic events, makes decisions such as the partial or total closure of thermoelectric plants, become something utopian and futuristic, as a response in “real time” to the central problem: Global Warming.

That is why Altru can be considered a machine that transports us from the future to the present, with a highly innovative character, but at the same time very current in the need of the community to decontaminate its environment, its Zone, and at the same time promote its economy, generating income and value that can be consumed, exchanged and shared with other members of the community, businesses and local, regional and global organizations.

Altru (altru.world) goes beyond just placing bicycle stations, since these same shared bicycle systems have had major failures that hinder the full use of the bicycle’s potential as a clean, efficient and zero emission mode of transport. In the case of a recognized system installed in Chile, it has had failures in its electronic invoicing, with incorrect charges to its users, according to complaints, publications and documentation that can be found at the public level.

One of the most efficient ways to register and automatically certify the carbon reductions generated by each person is with the use of a Blockchain, in addition this technology allows us to provide business intelligence and value to the contribution generated by each user, it also helps us to connect them with other users and companies with which they can carry out transactions in a secure, transparent way and without intermediaries. Then, we encourage the generation of distributed energy with a concept of charging stations with solar panels and renewable sources, which is in line with clean mobility, even with something as visionary as the possibility of having energy backup systems to residential level (microgrids), in case of failures in the conventional network; all this on a network of interconnected communication that facilitates connection for free, democratizing energy, communications and internet access, as essential bases of quality of life and growth of a society that gradually strengthens its system of economic compensation and therefore, a slow but certain eradication of poverty, benefiting everyone involved in the best way possible.

The above answers in part the concern of how we would benefit from a system like Altru, at least from the point of view of life quality. All this, combined with the possibility of performing a minimum of daily exercise, generating both energy (at basic levels) and reductions or personal footprint offset.

From a financial point of view, Altru has as a business model the fair compensation to the system users, improving the economy of those who interact with the station through incentives that will allow them to pay bills, services or simple transaction of the reductions accumulated.

Our proposal has the potential to grant that large goods companies, services and similars can compensate part of their footprint: Immersion through the support and financial support of our model by large corporations, responsible for large amounts of emissions, would be key in offsetting their emissions. Local mining companies, airlines and others, generators of thousands of tons annually, as well as companies that import the carbon footprint, through the commercialization of foreign products, could acquire through Altru the reductions generated in the platform. We expect thousands of tons of reductions to be generated by users, who at the same time are compensated with life quality and economic strengthening, enjoying for free the fixed stations and shared bicycles, as well as local and relevant information, that potentiate The Economy of each Zone.

This brings us closer to the reality of a zonal, collaborative, circular and sustainable economy.
